Future Reality Design is a design journal platform initiated by me and my brother, Qolbi. It started with my interest and passion for working in a transdisciplinary environment where discipline does not become a boundary box or hierarchical thing but rather something fluid that leads to radical innovations. It was sparked strongly right after I joined my master's program in MA/MSc Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, where I met and worked with people from various disciplines and labs.
Unfortunately, this awareness of transdisciplinarity is very well-literate in the Western world rather than in the global South, especially where I came from; Indonesia. With Future Reality Design I am hoping it can be a platform to democratise the practice by sparking conversation through investigation and conversations with the transdisciplinary practitioners from anywhere.
